Payment & delivery
The Aktiokrat direct checkout is currently intended for digital editions with a billing address in Germany. Printed editions are not shipped through this checkout.
Accepted payment method
PayPal is the intended payment method for the digital direct checkout. No other payment methods are currently offered. The order is created with “Place order and pay” before the customer moves to PayPal.
Time of payment
After approval in the PayPal dialog, the server captures the payment through PayPal. The order is released locally as paid only after PayPal has confirmed capture. If capture fails, no payment is recorded as successful.
Digital delivery
After payment has been confirmed, the entitlement, invoice and complete order confirmation are generated. The order confirmation contains the immutable legal-text versions and consent evidence secured with the order and is sent to the email address supplied during checkout. Available EPUB or PDF files are provided through the protected download for the order or linked customer account. No shipping costs apply to digital editions.
Delivery restriction
The current checkout accepts billing addresses in Germany only. Physical shipping is not enabled; consequently the direct checkout does not offer shipping regions, shipping methods, carriers, delivery times or shipping costs for printed books.
Planned and non-purchasable editions
Visible planned editions and editions explicitly marked as non-purchasable may appear in the catalogue, but cannot be placed in the basket. Only an active, visible and purchasable shop card with a current price can start the ordering process.
External retailers
Purchases from linked external retailers are governed by their payment, delivery and shipping terms. The relevant retailer displays those terms before the purchase is completed there.
