Terms and Conditions
The Aktiokrat direct checkout is technically available for digital editions. Only offers explicitly shown as purchasable in the shop can be ordered; printed editions are currently not sold through this checkout.
Scope
These terms apply to orders for digital editions through the Aktiokrat direct checkout. Purchases from linked external retailers are governed by the terms of the respective contracting party.
Ordering process and technical completion
A purchasable digital edition is placed in the basket as a specific shop card. Contact and billing details are collected during checkout. Immediately before submission, the order review shows the edition, format, quantity, unit and total price, payment method and digital delivery. Selecting “Place order and pay” creates the order and then starts the PayPal payment. The order is marked as paid only after PayPal has confirmed capture of the payment.
Prices and payment
The total price in euros verified by the server during checkout is binding. No shipping costs are charged for the digital direct checkout. PayPal is the intended payment method; after approval in the PayPal dialog, payment is captured through the server-side PayPal process.
Digital editions
After payment has been confirmed, an entitlement is created for the purchased digital edition. The download appears in the order confirmation and, where a customer account is linked, additionally in the existing account area. EPUB and PDF deliveries may be personalised when downloaded; the unchanged master file remains in the protected archive.
Invoice
After payment has been confirmed, an invoice is generated from the immutable order and invoice snapshot and made available for download with the order.
Guest orders and customer accounts
The digital checkout can be completed as a guest or with an existing customer account. A customer account is not required to complete the order. Guest access to the order confirmation, invoice and download remains tied to the secure order context of the session.
Printed, planned and non-purchasable editions
Printed or mixed baskets are currently not completed through the Aktiokrat direct checkout. Visible planned or non-purchasable editions are provided for information and do not receive a functional purchase action. Purchasability and the current price are verified again by the server in the basket and before the order is completed.
External retailers
Where a publication links to an external retailer, a purchase there is concluded exclusively with that retailer and under its applicable terms.

Order confirmation on a durable medium
After successful payment, Aktiokrat sends a complete order confirmation to the email address supplied during checkout. It contains the immutable versions of the terms and withdrawal information secured with the order, order details, items, prices, payment method, digital delivery and evidence of the separate consent and acknowledgement. Later changes to public legal-content pages do not alter this confirmation or the order snapshot.
